Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals
The Irish property market has seen many fluctuations over the years, one of the main results of this is rents rising and falling with the market. In most commercial leases there is a mechanism to allow for rent alterations every five years.
There is also legislation in place which allows tenants to gain renewal rights and renew their lease should certain criteria be met, if this situation arises both landlords and tenants will be required to negotiate new agreements.
